In 2005, The HHCC received a Proclamation from the Connecticut Governor, M. Jodi Rell, in recognition of its 5th Year Anniversary:

HHCC Founders & Meeting History:
In 2001, Ruth Arbitelle, Hilda Nichols, Kay Perna, Dee Stanziano, and Ruth Young came together to form the Happily Hooked on Crocheting Club, the first Connecticut Chapter of the Crochet Guild of America

Meetings at that time were held at the Michaels Arts & Crafts store located in Brookfield, Connecticut.  The HHCC soon outgrew the classroom in the store and moved to The Craft Basket, also located in Brookfield.  When The Craft Basket closed, the HHCC moved the monthly meetings to the The Danbury Hospital, until 2010.  A new home

Special Announcements

Please note, as of April 2010, due to growing, the HHCC no longer meets at the Danbury Hospital. Meeting locations will change from month to month until a new home is confirmed.
